Supers - For super attacks, I found I could have a full 5-card set by the time the onion appeared. If going for 'perfect' grades, you should make sure to have 3 done by the end of the potato always. The onion is inconsistent with pink tears, and the carrot has no attacks you can parry. My suggestion is to get 3 worms during the potato to get your 3/3 parry score. Parry - There are not many opportunities to parry in this fight. The onion's tears are few and fairly easy to dodge as well. You might need to get your timing down for the potato's dirt balls, but that isn't terribly difficult to time. HP - For HP, your basic jump should be sufficient (with maybe some dashing during the carrot). You should easily beat the 2 minute mark on this fight. The 3 phases can go extremely quickly as long as you continue to fire. Time - For the time, you shouldn't need to worry yourself too much.

To get an A-Rank on this fight, here some simple things to keep in mind: They will be quicker and the breaks between them will be shorter. The only real change here is the speed of attacks. This fight has all the phases and is slightly quicker than simple. It will likely be easiest to jump each shot individually rather than trying to jump over multiple at the same time. Dirt volleys from the potato in particular are much slower. Additionally, the speed of the attacks is reduced. On Simple mode, the Onion portion of the fight is removed.

While this is the simplest of the bosses, it's worth noting the changes between the 3 difficulty levels. Only try to jump over the beams when you're already off to the sides of the level. If you're under it, move left or right to avoid. Aim to switch sides and dash under the beams or jump dash over them. My suggestion would be equip the spread shot here to assist with aiming.įor the second attack, the Carrot's 3rd eye opens and shoots a few circular beams towards your position. Open the 3rd Eye and Attack with energy beamsĭuring the first attack, the Carrot will rub its head and the missiles will pour in from both sides.I tended to not parry the pink tears at all and just focused on dodging.Īfter taking down the Onion, a Carrot will rise in the background of the level.

Once again, just continue to fire and this will go down pretty quick. Every so often, one will be pink and could be parried. For the most part, these will all be blue tears that you need to dodge. The Onion will begin to cry and tears will fall from the top of the screen. The Onion is even more basic in terms of the attack patterns. The Onion will rise out of the middle of the level after defeating the Potato. The spacing between those spots should make this pretty easy.Ĭontinuously fire throughout this phase and you should make quick work of the potato. You will likely jump over the first 2 individually, but when you jump over the 3rd one, aim to parry the worm as well. Each subsequent volley of shots will come faster in the sets. The worm will be your opportunity to parry. The volley will always consist of 3 dirt balls and one worm.
